Anxiety - Good or Bad?

Sorry it's been so long since my last post here. I seem to have gottent caught up in a lot of other stuff recently. Exciting, but time consuming...

So - is anxiety a good or a bad thing for us humans? Most scientists would tell us that a certain amount of anxiety is pretty necessary to us, it is a normal part of our everyday life which most of us take in our stride. It only becomes a proble if our anxiety levels are constantly high, leading to psychosomatic symptoms and persistent fear / worry which affects our ability to live life to the full.
